About the Studio
Michelle Clemens believes great design is about more than creating beautiful spaces—it's about designing homes that support the people who live in them. Growing up around custom home construction and now raising a family of six in Davis County, she understands firsthand how thoughtful design can bring comfort, connection, and function to everyday life. With a background in interior design and a passion for blending creativity with purpose, Michelle creates spaces that are timeless, personal, and made to be lived in.
Frequently Asked Questions

Every project is different, but most full-service interior design projects take between 2–4 months, depending on the size and scope. Smaller projects can often be completed in two months or less, while larger renovations or new builds may require additional time for planning, ordering materials, and installation.
-
As much as you'd like! Interior design is a collaborative process. Michelle takes the time to understand your lifestyle, preferences, and personal style, then creates a design that feels uniquely yours. You'll be involved in key decisions throughout the project while Michelle handles the details and keeps everything moving forward.

AI can be a helpful source of inspiration, but it can't replace the experience and personal guidance of a professional designer. Michelle learns your individual style, understands how you actually use your space, and designs with both beauty and function in mind. She also works closely with trusted local contractors and suppliers, manages product sourcing and orders, and provides physical material samples so you can confidently see and feel your selections before making decisions.
-
Interior decorating focuses primarily on the finishing touches—furniture, décor, artwork, and accessories. Interior design goes much deeper by planning how a space functions. This includes space planning, floor plans, custom cabinetry and millwork drawings, lighting layouts, material selections, and creating a cohesive design that works from the ground up.
-
The earlier, the better. Ideally, you should bring an interior designer on board before construction begins. Early involvement helps prevent costly changes, ensures your home is designed around your needs from the start, and allows your designer to collaborate with your architect and builder throughout the project.
-
Every project is unique, so pricing depends on the size, scope, and level of service you need. During your consultation, Michelle will discuss your goals and provide a clear estimate based on your project. Whether you're looking for design guidance for a single room or full-service support for a custom home, you'll know exactly what to expect before work begins.
-
Absolutely. Not everything has to be replaced to create a beautiful space. Michelle enjoys incorporating meaningful pieces you already own whenever possible, blending them with new selections to create a cohesive, updated design.
-
Not at all. Every project has a different budget, and Michelle works to maximize your investment by helping you prioritize where to spend and where to save. Good design is about making thoughtful decisions—not simply spending more.

No. Michelle works on a variety of projects, including new construction, remodels, room refreshes, home staging, and furnishing projects. Whether you're building from the ground up or updating one room, she can tailor her services to your needs.
